Greetings friends! As I meet all as friends first!
I am a 54 year old Pict! Plain and simple I was born in the states but dae was from the Black Isle and 7 years ago I came HOME! I love all music but especially Celtic and Tribal. I am a friend of The Trybe and find in my medieval re-enactments my partner and I do we cross paths with this wonderful group of friends often...sometimes not often enough but I have CDs for those hunger pain times.
I have a My Space as ladysharlyne and that describes me most. I ask patience for I am far from done with creating ME yet!
When not enjoying my 'homeland' of Scotland with my Scotsman or working at the grindstone I do creative writing in play by post games. It keeps me insane for there is no fun in sanity!
I look forward to enjoying this site and the friendship of people of like minds.
Aye, I am a Lockhart and a proud Scot but the other side of the coin I am Cherokee indian heritage. Do not DARE to ask me how much for I loathe people that want you to PROVE who you are. I am ME... plain and simple. Like it or not!
What I have found is that I am a Pict through and through and there are those that said we disappeared donkey's years or centuries ago! Not true and it is in the hearts of men and women the world wide!!! We KNOW who we are!
My Kids and their families are in Texas and Oklahoma and I am a Kentuckian by right as well.... and an aspiring author hoping to get published one day...but for now...where did I lay that manuscript... ahhh hah! not written yet!
Another side of me is Goth in the true not punk sense of the world. I also have a new tattoo of a thistle with a pictish symbol and it reads..... "If found return to Scotland"
So once again greetings from my most humble self in Caledonia!!! My Home!

Welcome ladysharlyne to the best Forum ever. I am indeed most envious of you as I was born in Scotland and long to return to spend my remaining years. Alas is but a dream.
Thank you for the warm welcomes but I must burst that bubble... I did not just pick up and move to Scotland... My father was from the Black Isle, Cromarty to be exact. I am a very very lucky Lass to be able to have come home.
But from birth (born in Long Beach, Calif) I have been a true Scot! Long story with a happy ending and for those of you that always wanted to visit the door is always open!
Welcome to Celtic Radio ladysharlyne. It's a pleasure to meet you. I hope you will enjoy it here. The people are very nice and the music is the best. I look forward to you posting here on the forums. Your tatoo sounds great!
I'm very glad you found us and also thank you for giving your "new friends" a very good introduction of yourself! It's always nice to know a person's background and you have done an admirable job of it!
I know you must be wandering the other forums and hope you have lots of fun - there's so much to see, not to mention listening to great Celtic music. However, as you have had a foretaste of it, the best part of Celtic Radio is it's members, of which you are now one!
I hope you have a great week and please let us know if ever you have questions or comments - there's always someone around to help! I look forward to reading your future posts!

Welcome to Celtic Radio, Ladysharlyne! Nice to see your pride in being a Pict. Notwithstanding the lack of documentation, there is no doubt that many folks of Scots descent are also of Pict descent, although not all are willling to admit such. Enjoy the music and the forums!
