History of the highlands, writing stories from my trunk of old
letters, attending highland games and gatherings. Spoiling my family. Travel when I can.
I seek out history books of Clan Henderson. Although hard to find it is well worth the time and effort.
To stand in a place where the earth is still and listen to my own heart beat. Only then do I know I still pump the hot blood of my forefathers. It is then I bow my head in thanks.

Back after two years.
Posted by Donajhi on Mar 13th, 2013 1:35 PM
I have been in and out of many valleys and have learned much. Life is like a highway, every off ramp has an on ramp and the choice is your to either take it back on or stay off.
I have chosen to be back on the highway of life. Got the pedal to the metal and full speed ahead.
So glad to be back where people share and uplift. biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

SORRY, BEEN GONE FOR A WHILE
Posted by Donajhi on Oct 20th, 2007 8:39 PM
Have had some tough rows to hoe. But I hope to have a handle on it now.
Some times we get blind sided with things that take a bit to bring under
control. This is one of them those times I am glad for my Scottish blood.

My son-in-law has the big "C" and the doctor's have given him 6 months.
The hard part is my daughter and I are not suppose to know about it. But,
I received a call from hospice. In a way it is a good thing because now I
know what I am looking at as the body breaks down.

Anyway this is our valley of dread to walk through and we will make it for we
are strong. Please, do not feel sorry for us but we would appreciate a prayer.

Enough for now

THE KIDS ARE BACK IN SCHOOL
Posted by Donajhi on Aug 14th, 2007 1:48 PM
Well Guy is back in school and no matter how much I love him he is at an age where he has to be moving all the time. He does have a best friend that keeps him busy most of the time, but all eight year old get bored easy.

It is time for me to buckle down and finish my manuscript. My agent is about ready to hang me up by my thumbs, but he won't. My hands are money in his pockets so the thumbs are out.

This has been a very odd summer and I do not do the heat well. When you are the color of wall paper paste, the sun turns you to a deep tomato color rather quickly and man does that hurt. So I tend to avoid the sun, that is why blondes have more fun...can't go out in the day have to go out at night..ha, ha.

Got to run till next time.........

THE GREATEST BAGPIPERS I HAVE EVER MET.
Posted by Donajhi on Jul 15th, 2007 2:32 PM
There is a discussion thread on the pros and cons of the bagpiper music.
I have known Mr McClanathan for several years and find him to be one of
the real "Angels of the Bagpipes". Not only does his music transport you
to another time and age, his persona is that of a true Highlander. Arizona
is very lucky to have such talent in our midst.

Four Days To Go
Posted by Donajhi on Jul 14th, 2007 1:30 PM
I just received my 2 t-shirts from Celtic Radio Gift Store. They are so beautiful. The colors are so rich. I chose the Henderson coat of arms. I will be going back and ordering the bag and more shirts. Think I might just do my Christmas shopping at the store. You can not beat the prices. I paid less for 2 tees + shipping than for 1 shirt at another place and the quality was not nearly as good.
Display your heritage proudly and order up some shirts, sweatshirts, mouse pads, or bags. You will not be disappointed.
Well, bye for now. Stay healthy, happy and a bit cheeky, as only we can..biggrin.gif
