Inside This Issue

Welcome to our March 2008 Celtic Radio Update! This update service is provided on a monthly basis to keep you informed of all of our CD Contests, hot community topics and the latest news from Celtic Radio!

Our St. Patrick's Day celebration this month saw a record breaking number of prizes - a total of 40 members received CDs, Tee Shirts and bumper stickers. Our website had a record breaking 521 members logged in at one time and we had a grand total of 17,000 hits for the day! At the height of the online festivities our servers came to a screeching halt and we had to reboot, but everyone had a great time. Special thanks goes out to all of the musicians who donated CDs for this event and also to our Celtic Radio Founder members who financed the packaging and mailing of the prizes!

Voting in our Annual Celtic Radio Music Awards has been completed, but we have not announced the winners for the five music categories nor our Celtic Radio Album of the year. We expect to finalize our awards in the next few weeks, so look for the announcement soon!

Live365 Broadcaster rates are increasing substantially and free listening slots are reducing. This will put a substantially strain on our expenses with total broadcast fees nearing $3,000 per year. Our first renewal coming up is Celtic Moon - which has become just as popular as Highlander Radio. If you can spare a few dollars and make a donation, it would help offset the substantial increase. We have until April 12th to raise the $500 renewal fee. On the positive side, Live365 is allocating more storage space so we will be able to rotate more of the tracks you like. Thank you in advance for the support of our broadcast channels.

Until Next Month....

In what has been hailed as our biggest expansion since Highlander Radio, we are pleased to announce that VideoCelt.com is now online! VideoCelt.com is a completely separate site from Celtic Radio and does not even look like Celtic Radio. It's really a wonderful site and we hope everyone checks it out and definitely let your friends and family know about this new innovative site from Celtic Radio!

Rockin with Barleyjuice
Barleyjuice has always been one of Celtic Radio's favorite and most recommend bands to purchase their CD or better yet – to see them perform in pure Barleyjuice fashion at one of their pumped-up rockin concerts.

What makes Barleyjuice so special is they have combined all of the attributes of a great rock band; the promotion, the music and the mystic all into one definite package called ‘Barleyjuice.’ At the heart of their success is simply just a great group of guys that love to play Celtic Rock music and it shows in their latest CD “Bonny Prince Barley”...

Clanadonia's Debut Album
"Clanadonia are a Tribal Pipes and Drums band, steeped in the Pictish/Celtic traditions of Scotland." Their debut CD - Clanadonia is as breathtaking and exhilarating as the Pipes and Drums of Scotland. Only this is Tribal Pipes and Drums and there is a clear difference between this music and traditional Pipe and Drum music. The beat is sometimes fast and addicting - you just might find yourself playing a little air drums and moving to the tempo such as "The Wild Dance" or "Tu-Bardh." Other times the sweeping beauty of Scotland can be heard in the stunning and awe-inspiring track "Tyler's Lament"....
